The latest Quarterly Report, covering the first quarter of fiscal year 2016, is now available. It updates the agency's activities; features interviews with HHSC Executive Commissioner Chris Traylor and new HHSC State Medicaid Director Gary Jessee; includes the first Program Insight section, which has an overview of the state Medicaid program; and has details on the IG Integrity Initiative. Law Enforcement

The Office of Inspector General works closely with local and state law enforcement agencies to assist with the detection, investigation, and prosecution of fraud in the Texas Health and Human Services system.  Our cooperation includes providing identifying information for suspects in custody who possess an HHSC benefits card, verifying the validity of Lone Star cards, and assisting with locating suspects and fugitives by providing location information.
